Naan Easy Naan 500 gm All purpose flour (Maida)1 tsp Salt2 tsp Sugar1 tsp Baking powder½ tsp *Fresh yeast½ cup Curd50 gm ButterMilk and water (lukewarm, mixture)15 gm Black cumin seeds (kala jeera)*Fresh Yeast may not be available everywhere. You may use ½ tsp Dry Yeast instead if required. Sieve the baking powder, salt and maida together. Melt the butter and add it to this.Mash it with your palm for about 15 minutes till it becomes fluffy. Add black cumin seeds or kala jeera.Make a well in the center of maida mixture and put milk, curd and spread fresh yeast on it. When the yeast starts bubbling, knead the mixture to make a slightly elastic dough. Keep it aside for 5-6 hours.Make 10-12 balls off the dough and make slightly thick rotis.Grill it in tandoor and polish with butter.:- Serve hot with Paneer Butter Masala. :- Makes 10-12 medium size Naans.:- The naan can also be stuffed with mixed vegetables. Sorry Sally ! this is one of the worst Naan, I have ate in my life, you can call this as a Kubus (Arabic Bread) not indian naan
