It is a nice chutney for idly and dosa. It is very hard to imagine dosa and idly being served without coconut chutney.

- Coconut grated - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1
- Green chilly - 4
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Coconut oil - 1 tsp
- Red chilli - 2
- Curry leaves - 5
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp

Instructions
- Heat oil in a kadai, add mustards when it splutters add red chilli and curry leaves. sauté for a minute.
- Add grounded coconut mix to the kadai ,add chilli powder to this and salt for a minute.
- Add salt and mix all well. cook for 2 minutes.
- Now nadan thenga chammanthi is ready to serve for idly and dosa.
