  • 300 g Goat leg
  • 60 g Garlic
  • 5 g Rosemary
  • 2 nos Potato cut into cubes
  • 115 ml Red wine
  • 30 g Demi glace base brown sauce in french cuisine


  • For preparing New Zealand shanks, first clean the goat leg and grill it on all sides till it turns brown in color. Keep this aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, rosemary and goat leg. Saute for some time.
  • Add the red wine to it and boil for some time.
  • Then add the demi glace to it and cook it for 1 1/2 to 2 hours in low heat and remove from flame.
  • Cook potato and arrange it in plate.
  • Place the cooked goat leg in the plate.
  • Pour the prepared sauce above the goat leg.
  • New Zealand lamb shanks, a tasty recipe is ready. Serve it hot.
