Onion Oothappa Oothappam made with onion and chillies 2 1/2 cups Rice1 cup Black gram (Uzhunnuparippu)1/4 cup Rice flakes (Aval/Poha)2 tsp Cumin seeds (Jerakam)2 tsp SaltFor spreading: OnionGreen ChilliesButter Soak rice, black gram dal and poha separately for 4-5 hours.Soak cumin seeds and poha for 45 minutes. Grind all ingredients and make a fine batter. Keep the batter over night.(For detailed procedure see masala dosa) After spreading dosa on tawa, sprinkle finely cut onion and chillies. Then smear butter on dosa. Cover the lid for few seconds.
