Ingredients
- Rice (pachari) : 1 cup -
- Urad dal (uzhunnu) : ½ cup -
- Carrot : ½ cup -
- Onion : ½ cup -
- Garlic : 1 clove -
- Ginger : 1 inch piece -
- Spring onion : ½ cup -
- Salt to taste -
- Green Chilly : 2 nos -
- Curry leaves : 1 spring -
- Ghee or oil : as needed -

Instructions
- Soak rice and urad dal for 2 hours and then grind it using a mixer.
- Then to this batter add garlic ginger and green chilly and curry leaves.

- Grind the batter again and add salt as needed.
- Pour the smooth batter to it.
- Then add the small sliced onion to it and close it for 2 minutes.
- Then change the side (it is not necessary ).
- Onion oothappam is ready to serve.
- Reduce flame and close it for 2 to 3 minutes or until it gets cooked.
- Serve hot , this can be taken with sambhar, chutney and without any curry also.
- Then to the pan pour batter and then sliced spring onion and little onion.
- Close it for 2 to 3 minutes or until it gets cooked.
- Serve hot.
