Pallu pathiri Is A traditional Dish because of its Resemblence to teeth , It Is called Pallu Pathiri.

  • Sieve the roasted rice powder using a fine mesh.Boil the water with salt in a heavy bottom pan.When it starts to boil switch off the flame, slowly add the rice powder and stir continously.
  • Grind the grated Coconut with small onions, fennel seeds and Garam masala powder. (without adding water) Add this Masala To The Dough And knead It Thoroughly.
  • Roll out small portions of the dough into lime sized ball.
  • Use an aluminium foil or banana leaf , apply some oil on it and flatten each balls into small pathiris by hand.Shape the edges of the pathiri like tooth by hand.
  • Steam the pathiri inside an aluminium foil or banana leaf for 15 -20 minutes . Before serving dip it in coconut milk for few minutes and serve with chicken /mutton/beef curry.
