Ingredients
- Green peas or dried peas(if dried one, soaked for 3 hrs and boiled) - 1 1/2 cups
- Potatoes(cut into cubes) - 3 nos
- Tomato(cut into small pieces) - 2 nos
- Onions(cut into small pieces) - 3 nos
- Fennel seeds(Perinjeerakam) - 1/2 tsp
- garlic(chopped) - 2 tsp
- Ginger(chopped) - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 3 -
- Chilly powder - 2 tsp
- Green chillies(slit into two) - 3 nos
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Curry leaves or Coriander leaves(As reqd for garnishing) -
- Water - 1/2 cup

Instructions
- Grind together 1 chopped onion, coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder, 1 green chilly, fennel seeds, 1 tsp of ginger and 1 tsp of garlic into a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add 2 chopped onions, 1 tsp of garlic, 1 tsp of ginger and green chillies.
- Saute, till onions turn light brown.
- Add the gravy paste and wait for oil to separate.
- Add tomatoes and saute, till they are cooked.
- Add potatoes, peas and salt and mix well for 2 mins.
- Add water.
- Cover and cook, till potatoes are done.
- Add curry leaves or coriander leaves as the taste required.
- :- Can be seasoned with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- :- Serve with puris, chappathis, idli -dosa, appam or iddiyappam.
