Plantain stem and other ingredients are added to make this tasty kichdi

  • 1 cup Plantain stem finely chopped, Vazha Pindi
  • 1/2 cup Carrot grated
  • 1/2 cup Cucumber finely chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger finely chopped
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves chopped


  • For preparing plantain stem kichdi, cook plantain stem in a little water and salt. Strain it.
  • Then mix cooked plantain stem, carrot, cucumber, green chilly, ginger and salt by hand.
  • Add curd and coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Plantain stem kichdi is ready.
