Potato Bonda

Ingredients
- Potato(boiled and mashed) - 3 nos
- Black gram(A pinch, Uzhunnuparippu) -
- Onion - 2 nos
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Green chillies - 4 -
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Gram flour(Kadalapodi) - 2 cups
- Rice flour - 1 1/2 cups
- Oil for frying -

Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan.
- Add black gram, onions, ginger and green chillies and fry, till they turn almost golden brown.
- Add the mashed potatoes and cook for 2 - 3 mins. Keep it aside.
- Mix together gram flour or besan and rice flour along with enough water to make a batter.
- Make small balls off the mashed potatoes.
- Dip them in the batter and deep fry in hot oil.
- :- Serve hot.

Good recipe.U can actually avoid the uzhunnuparipp and ginger.And try adding a bit of turmeric powder and garam masala powder to the masala before adding the mashed potatoes…
its very tasty. can be made by adding less rice flour.
