Prawn Pulav Easy Tropical Prawn(Chemmeen) Pulav ¼ kg Rice (rinsed)150 gm Prawns (cut into pieces, Chemmeen)3 nos Onions (chopped & fried)Ginger (garlic paste - 1 tbsp)150 gm Capsicum (cut in strips)¼ kg Tomatoes (chopped)½ bunch Coriander (chopped)1 no Spring onion (chopped)½ tsp Saffron (soaked in water)1 tin Pineapple slices (cubed)2 tbsp GheeSalt (As reqd)2 tbsp Spice powderCardamom(Elakka)Cloves(Grambu)Cinnmon(Karugapatta)ShahjeeraNutmeg(Jathikka)Mace Clean, rinse the rice and fry the chopped onions and keep aside.Heat ghee in a pan.Fry the ginger-garlic paste, till it changes colour.Add the prawns and salt. Mix well.When the prawns change colour, remove from the pan and set aside.Add capsicum in the same pan and fry for a while.Add rice, salt & cook, till the rice is done.Take a vessel. Put a layer of half the cooked rice. Sprinkle some saffron water followed by a layer of cooked prawns and some spice powder.Add some chopped pineapples and fried onions, repeat these layers once more, ending with fried onions as the top most layer.Put some pineapple syrup all over the rice, cover and keep on dum for 15 minutes or more.:- Serve hot.
