Instructions
- Cook dal in 3 cups of water.
- Cook pumpkin in 1/2 cup water.
- Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard.
- .when mustard splutters add fenugreek seeds , urad dal and redchilly.
- Add sambhar powder and curry leaf , saute for 2 minutes.
- Mix together cooked pumpkin ,onions tomatoes asafoetida and tempering in a vessel.
- Add cooked dal also to this. Boil for 5 minutes till it becomes little thick.
- Now hot pumpkin sambhar is ready to serve with hot rice.
