  • 3 tbsp Puthani Roasted gram
  • 3 nos Chillies
  • Coriander leaves A few
  • 2 tbsp Onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup Grated coconut
  • For seasoning:
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Asafoetida A pinch, Kayam
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds


  • Soak puthani for 15 minutes and drain water.
  • Grind together grated coconut, soaked puthani, coriander leaves, onions and green chillies along with little water and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add the ingredients for seasoning one by one.
  • Pour it over the chutney.
  • :- Serve with chapathi, dosa or idli.
