Raw Papaya & Raisin Chutney

A rare combo of raw papaya and raisins

  • First remove the top and bottom layer of the papaya. Then remove a very thin layer of the green coloured skin, seeds and grate the papaya.
  • Boil the grated papaya with water till soft. Drain the extra water and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Splutter cumin seeds and saute green chillies and minced ginger. Stir till light golden colour.
  • Add kismis and stir for few seconds.
  • Add chili powder, salt, sugar and black salt.
  • Add cooked papaya into it and stir for 1 minute.
  • Lastly add the lime juice and stir until well combined.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Refrigerate in a covered glass container.
  • :-This can be used as a jam or side dish. Chill for 5 minutes before serving.
