3 cups Red gram/Vanpayar (soaked and boiled)1 cup Dried prawns (cleaned and roasted in 1 tsp oil)3 nos Onion (chopped)1 tsp Ginger (chopped)5 cloves Garlic (chopped)4 nos Dry red chillies (cut in half)Curry leaves (Few)1/2 tsp Turmeric powder2 tsp Chilly powder1 tsp Coriander powder2 tsp Garam masala2 tbsp Oil1/2 tsp Mustard seedsSalt (As reqd) For preparing red gram/vanpayar with dried chemeen, first heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.Add onion, ginger, garlic and sautT till light brown in color.Add curry leaves and dry red chillies.Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder, garam masala and saute till the raw smell goes off.Add the boiled vanpayar and sautT well.At this point, add dried chemeen and 4 tbsp water.Cover it with a lid and cook for some time.
