Ingredients
- Shrimp/prawn(cleaned and washed, large) - 400 g
- Onion(chopped) - 1 no
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Green chillies(finely sliced) - 2 nos
- Cocum(soaked in 1/2 cup warm water, Kudam puli) - 1 no
- Tomatoes(quartered) - 2 nos
- Capsicum(cored and cut into cubes, small) - 1 red
- Tomato puree - 4 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Kashmiri Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Sugar/honey - 1 tsp
- Oil(As reqd) -

Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp in the marinade and leave aside for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil on medium flame. Fry the shrimps in batches till golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Add oil to a medium saucepan. Saute the onions for 1 minute.
- Add ginger/ garlic paste, tomatoes, capsicums and curry leaves. Stir fry till crisp.
- Stir in cocum with water and tomato puree. Add the coriander, chilly, turmeric and garam masala powder and stir till the masalas become fragrant. Lower the heat.
- Check for seasoning. Serve hot.
