Ingredients
- Spinach(Paalak) - 340 gm
- Red gram(Thuvaraparippu) - 1/2 cup
- Water - 3 cups
- Turmeric powder(A pinch) -
- Salt(As reqd) -
To dry roast:-
- Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu) - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
- Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 1 -
- Black peppercorns(ground) - 1 tsp
- Grated Coconut(dry roast separately) - 1 1/2 tbsp

To dry roast:-

Instructions
- Wash thoroughly spinach and chop roughly.
- Grind the dry roasted ingredients in a mixer to a smooth paste with a little water.
- Add ground paste to spinach and dal mixture, boil until slightly thick.
- :- Serve hot with rice.
- :- You need not season with anything. :- Grinding the pepper fresh gives a distinct taste than the pepper power.
