- Sua chopped : 1 cup -
- Yellow moong dal : ½ cup -
- Onions finely chopped : 2 nos -
- Tomato finely chopped : 1 no -
- Garlic minced : 3 - 4 cloves
- Jeera : ½ tsp -
- Green chillies chopped : 2 - 3 nos
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp -
- Coriander powder : ½ tsp -
- Oil : 1 tsp -
- Curry leaves Few -
- Salt to taste -

Instructions
- Soak the moong dal for half an hour in hot water.
- Heat oil in a pan and add whole jeera and sauté for a minute.
- When the jeera sizzles add chopped onion, green chillies and curry leaves and sauté till the onion begins to change color.

- Add minced garlic and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well.

- Cover and cook on a low flame till the oil separates from the masala.
- Serve with roti.
