Ingredients
- Teasel gourd - 500 g
- Onion(chopped) - 1 cup
- Green chillies(split) - 2 nos
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Coriander seed powder - 1 tsp
- Refined oil - 200 ml
- Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
- Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 cup
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing teasel gourd (Aakaakarakai)fry, cut the tiesel gourds into thin lengthy slices.
- Put a deep bottomed frying pan on the stove, add some oil and heat.
- Splutter mustard seeds and fry green chillies and finely chopped onions. Fry until they turn dark brown in color.
- Add the curry leaves and teasel gourd slices, mix well and fry for a few minutes. Add enough salt and mix well.
- Add some more oil and fry them stirring constantly until the teasel gourd pieces turn into deep brown.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves over the preparation and serve hot with rice or pulka or pan cakes.
