- Tomato - 4
- Green chilly - 4
- Tamarind water - 3 tbsp
- Ginger(small pc crushed) -
- garlic - 4 clove
- Red chilly powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

- Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek seed - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp

- For preparing the delicious Thakkali Chutney Recipe - Nadan Kerala Style, first heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel or in a clay pot. Splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds. Add crushed garlic cloves, ginger and curry leaves. Saute for 10-15 seconds on low flame.
- Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes in medium flame.
- Then add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Combine well and cook till 75% of water evaporates. Turn off heat and cool.
- Tasty Chutney is ready now.
