This recipe we will do during our thiruvadirai kombu . this recipe only we served as neivedhiyam.

  • 1 cup Idly rice
  • 1 ½ Jaggerry
  • ½ cup Coconut chopped
  • ¼ cup Moong dal
  • ¼ cup Ghee
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder


  • Soak rice and grind as thin batter and make jaggerry syrup and keep aside and boil the moong dal
  • In big vessels add water and bring to boil and add rice batter. And cook for 10 min in medium flame.
  • Add and mix evenly the moong dal and chopped coconut
  • Now add jaggerry and mix well and add ghee and combine all together.
  • Now add cardamom powder and mix it well and cook in low flame for 5 mins and serve it hot or cold.thiruvathirai kali is ready.
