Chopped tomato cooked with jaggery, garlic, garam masala and other ingredients

- Tomato(chopped) - 1 no
- garlic(chopped) - 1/2 tsp
- Onion(chopped, small) - 1 no
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/2 tsp
- Jaggery/Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – 2 - 3 nos
- Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
- Roasted peanut powder - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida(A pinch, Kayam) -
- Oil(As reqd) -

Instructions
- First heat oil in a pan, fry onion, garlic, cumin seeds, jaggery, chilly powder and tomatoes.
- Grind the mixture when it cools.
- Heat tawa, splutter mustards seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Add garam masala and ground paste and stir for a few minutes.
- Tomato chutney in Maharashtrian style is ready. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
