- Rice Rava - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu) - 1 tsp
- Bengal gram(Kadalaparippu) - 1 tsp
- Ginger(finely chopped) - 1" piece
- Green chillies(finely chopped) -
- Curry leaves(A few) -
- Asafoetida(Kayam) - 1 tsp

Instructions
- For preparing Uppuma Kozhikattai, first heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds followed by black gram, Bengal gram, curry leaves, asafoetida, ginger and green chillies.
- When it reaches boiling consistency, slowly add rice rava and simmer in a very low flame.
- Cover the pan and cook, stirring frequently.
- Allow it to cool and shape into oval sizes.
- Steam cook them for 2-3 minutes.
- Uppuma Kozhikattais are ready.
- *Rice Rava can be made by grinding the rice coarsely in the mixer.
