Ingredients
For filling:
- Potato(boiled and peeled, big) - 2 nos
- Carrots(chopped) - 2 nos
- Green peas - 1/2 cup
- Onion(sliced) - 3 nos
- Green chiliies(chopped) - 6 nos
- Ginger(chopped) - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
For batter:-
- Gram flour(Besan/Kadalamaavu) - 1 1/2 cups
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Water -
- Oil for frying -

Instructions
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan or kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds and saute red chillies and curry leaves.
- Add sliced onions and saute till soft.
- Add green peas and carrot and cook by closing with a lid.
- When cooked, mash the boiled potatoes and add it to the pan.
- When cool, make into lemon sized balls.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai.
- Dip the balls in the batter and deep fry till brown.
- Drain on oil paper.
