  • 4 nos Mango
  • 3 tbsp Red chilly powder
  • 3 tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida Kaayam
  • 1 cup Mustard seed powder
  • 250 ml Refined oil


  • Peel the mangoes and grate them.
  • Take the grated mango into a jar and add red chilly powder and salt.
  • Allow to marinate for 3 hours.
  • Add the mustard seeds powder.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Heat the oil and while heating add the asafoetida powder to it.
  • Allow the oil to cool completely.
  • Add it to the mango mix and mix thoroughly.
  • Allow it to settle for a day and serve.
