  • Short bread pastry As reqd
  • 700 g Apples
  • 1 no Lemon
  • 2 tbsp Sugar powdered and sifted
  • 1 no Orange peel grated


  • For preparing apple tart, prepare the short crust pastry.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius.
  • Then roll out the dough like a chappathi, so that it overlaps on the edges of the pie tray
  • Prick the base and pinch down the edges with a fork and leave it to cool in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Bake it for 10 minutes.
  • Quarter, peel and core the apples. Slice it.
  • Coat it with lemon juice to stop it from becoming brown.
  • Remove the pastry from the oven and fill it with 1 layer of apple slices.
  • Sprinkle grated orange peel over it.
  • Arrange the rest of the apples over it.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and return the tart to the oven for 30 minutes. 12)Apple tart is ready. Serve it warm or cold with cream.
