Boiled rice is mixed with coconut and jaggery to prepare balls

  • 1 cup Boiled rice puzhungalari
  • 1 cup Jaggery Vellam
  • 1 cup Coconut grated


  • For preparing ariyunda, wash the boiled rice(puzhungalari) well and fry it in a china dish in low heat.
  • When it starts to pop, bring it from the flame and let it cool.
  • Grind in a mixer grinder well.
  • Add jaggery powder and grated coconut to the above rice powder and mix it well.
  • Then make small balls out of the above mixture.
  • Ariyunda is ready.
