  • 1 kg NattuKozhi Chicken
  • 1 kg Seera Sambha rice
  • 7 Onion
  • 6 Tomato
  • 4 tblsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Cloves and cinnamon powder equal proportion
  • 4 Green chili
  • 1 hand Mint
  • 1 hand Coriander
  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • 1 Lemon
  • 4 Cloves
  • 4 Cardamom
  • 4 Cinnamon
  • 1 tblsp Red chili powder
  • Salt as required
  • 250 gm Oil
  • 5 tblsp Ghee


  • In a cooker add washed chicken and 1/2 tsp red chili powder, salt little and turmeric and Oil 1 tsp. cook for 2 whistles
  • In a big pan add oil and 3 tsp ghee and Temper cloves, cinnamon, cardamom
  • Now add onion and green chili saute till brown
  • Now add Ginger garlic paste and cloves and cinnamon powder saute raw till smell goes
  • Now add tomato and saute well. cook like in a gravy texture
  • Now add whole salt and red chili powder and stir well
  • Now add Mint and coriander leaves and cook well
  • Now add chicken and mix well. if you have excess water strain from chicken and keep aside.
  • Now add curd and cook for 5 minutes till oil comes out
  • Now add lemon juice and add water (for 1 rice cup - 1.5 cup water).bring to boil .Note here you have excess water of chicken add that water and remaining water in that proportion
  • soak rice and keep aside and when mixture boils add rice and stir well
  • Dont stir more than 4 times close lid and make dum for 10 mins in low flame
  • Now add remaining ghee and mix . Now Bhai Veetu Chicken Biriyani ready
