Bread halwa, a yummy favorite with kids, is prepared by soaking bread slices in khoya, milk, other ingredients and later frying the bread mixture
Instructions
- First pour khoya and milk into a large bowl. Mix well.
- Allow the bread pieces to become soft and crush any bread lumps if present.
- Put some oil in a hard bottomed pan, and pour the bread mixture.
- Fry the bread mixture in low heat till brown in color.
- Cook till oil separates from bread mixture.
- Add ghee to the fried bread mixture before removing from heat.
- Garnish with dry fruits like cashew nuts or pistas.
- Bread halwa, a favorite with kids as well as elders, is ready.
