Ingredients
- Mutton - 500 g
- Shallots(Kunjulli) - 20 nos
- Dry chillies - 8 nos
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
- Bay leaf(Karuga ela) - 1 no
- Cloves(Grambu) - 2 nos
- Cinnamon sticks(Karugapatta) - 2 nos
- Khus khus - 1/2 tsp
- Meat masala - 1 tsp
- Ginger(chopped) - 1 piece
- garlic(chopped) - 4 cloves
- Curry leaves(Few) -
- Coconut oil(As reqd) -
- Tomato(chopped) - 2 nos
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- Add bay leaves, khus khus, cinnamon, cloves and mutton. Fry well for 10 minutes.
- In another pan, pour little oil. Fry cumin seeds, shallots, dry chillies, ginger and garlic.
- Crush the onion mixture(do not make paste).
- When it becomes soft, add coriander and turmeric powder. Add required salt.
- Add hot water and cover with a lid.
- Cook the mutton.
- When done, add the meat masala and curry leaves. Drain excess water and make semi masala.
- Chettinad style mutton is ready.
