Deep Fried Fish In Spicy Masala

Fish pieces, coated in besan flour mixture, are deep fried and later cooked in onion paste, curd and other ingredients

  • First make a thick batter using besan flour, fenugreek powder, salt and water.
  • Dip the fish pieces in this batter and deep fry till golden brown. Keep this aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds,Fennel seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add ginger, garlic and onion paste. Saute well.
  • Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, fish masala and salt. Fry for a minute.
  • Add fish pieces.
  • Cook covered till the gravy becomes thick.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander and serve deep fried fish in spicy masala with rice, chappathi etc.
