  • Mix all ingredients except fruit salt and make a smooth batter.
  • Keep aside for 10 mins.
  • Take a pan of boiling water ready to steam the dhoklas.
  • Grease a plate with oil.
  • Add the fruit salt to the batter and mix well.
  • :- It will become frothy.
  • Pour into the prepared plate and steam in a closed pan for 10 mins.
  • :- Do not add whistle.
  • Leave it to cool for 5 mins.
  • Cut into pieces and invert plate onto bigger plate.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add the ingredients for seasoning and pour this over the prepared dhoklas.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and coconut.
  • :- Baking soda can be substituted instead of fruit salt.
