Ingredients
- Spinach(chopped) - 1 big
- Onion(big) - 1 no
- finely chopped -
- Dry red chillies(long) - 2 -
- Garlic pods(slit long) - 5 -
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Mustard seeds(for seasoning) -
- Black gram(Uzhunnuparipppu) -
- or Green gram(A little for seasoning, Cheruparippu) -
- Oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Add black gram or moong dal in it.
- When it starts turning brown, add the garlic and the red chillies.
- Let the garlic turn a little brown.
- Add the spinach. Mix it a little.
- Add salt & close it and let it cook for 5 mins.
- Mix well and let it cook for 2 - 3 mins.
- :- Serve with hot rice and pappad.
- :- This recipe was invented when there was absolutely nothing at home except for spinach & onions and turned out to be extremely tasty. Hope you`l like it 🙂
