- Bittergourd(Pavakka) - 1 no
- Green chillies - 2 nos
- Coconut - ½ of
- Curry leaves(A few sprigs) -
- Shallots(A few) -
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil -
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Dry red chillies – 2 - 3 nos

- 1)Using grater, grate the bitter gourd. 2)Combine together grated pavakka, coconut, finely chopped green chillies and shallots, curry leaves and salt with your hands or spoon. 3)Heat oil in a thick bottom vessel. 4)Splutter mustard seeds and sauté red chillies. 5)Add the pavakka mixture into it and cover with a lid. 6)Cook for 5 minutes. 7)Remove the lid and stir well again. 8)Cook again for 10 minutes on low flame, till done.
