Ingredients
- Brinjal(round variety) - 250 g
- Coconut(grated) - 1/2 cup
- Ginger(a small piece, thinly sliced) -
- Peanuts(fried and skinned, Kappalandi) - 1/4 cup
- Poppy seeds(Kashakasha) - 1/2 dsp
- Sesame seeds(Ellu) - 1 dsp
- Chilly powder - 1/2 dsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Onion(thinly sliced) - 1/2 cup
- Tomato(chopped into pieces) - 1/2 cup
- Green chillies(slit) - 2 nos
- Tamarind(add water and collect the extract, Puli) -
- Oil(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- Heat a little oil in a pan and fry sesame seeds and poppy seeds.
- Add turmeric powder and required salt. Grind the fried ingredients to a fine paste.
- Take half of the ground paste and coat the brinjal pieces. Keep this aside.
- Add the remaining ground mixture, brinjal pieces and green chillies. Mix well and saute for sometime.
- Boil the brinjal curry and remove from fire.
- Easy brinjal curry is ready and serve hot.
