Green Pappaya pachadi is an easy to make kerala style Thayir Pachadi.The taste of this Pachadi is similar as that of Cucumber Pachadi.It is a quick fix healthy recipe to serve with rice.

  • Peel and chop the pappaya into small pieces.Add enough water to submerge and allow to cook till soft with some salt.
  • While it is cooking,grind the coconut,mustard seed and green chillies together as a fine paste.
  • Discard the pappaya cooked water and add the coconut paste and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a clay pot and splutter mustard seed in it.add curry leaves and dry red chillies along with it.
  • Add pappaya coconut mixture into it and cook for 30 seconds and switch off the flame.add the thick beaten yogurt and mix well.check for salt and add if required.
  • Green pappaya pachadi is ready to serve.
