  • 80 gm Unsalted butter
  • 90 gm Castor sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 125 gm Maida
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 40 gm Custard powder
  • 100 gm Raspberry or mixed fruit jam


  • In a bowl, add all the ingredients except the jam.
  • Mix the ingredients to get a smooth and soft dough.
  • Using your hand, shape out a levelled spoon of dough into a ball.
  • Do the same to the remaining of the dough.
  • Place the shaped out balls onto a greased baking tray leaving adequate space between each ball.
  • Using your finger or the end of a flat spoon, make a small indendation of 5 mm in the centre of each ball.
  • In this space add about a 1/4 tsp of jam (make sure not to overfill it).
  • Bake them in the oven at 350F or 175C for 15 mins.
  • :- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container and preserved for a week.
