Kerala Mutton Stew A very healthy stew good for both children and adults alike 1/2 kg Mutton (cut into medium sized pieces)2 - Green chillies1 small Ginger (chopped)8 - Small onions (Kunjulli)Pepper (Few, crushed)1/2 of Coconut2 nos Onion (sliced)1 no Cloves (Grambu)1 no Cinnamon (Karugapatta)7 - Baby potatoesSalt (As reqd) Fry sliced onions, till slightly brown.Add slit green chillies, ginger, crushed pepper, cloves and cinnamon.Add mutton and salt and fry for 5 mins.Add potatoes.Extract 1 cup of thick coconut milk. Keep it aside.Extract thin milk, the quantity depending upon the quantity of the curry you need.:- Do not make it too watery.Add the 2nd or thin coconut milk and cook upto 3 whistles or till mutton is done.After opening the lid, add whole small onions and boil for another 5 mins.Add the 1st or thick coconut milk.Cover with its lid and switch off the flame.Garnish with coriander leaves, if desired.
