Kerala Style Fish Masala - Nadan Style Good with rotis 500 gm Fish (cleaned and cut into medium pieces)1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1 tsp Red chilly powder1 tbsp Lemon juice2 nos Onion (chopped finely)1 no Tomato (chopped finely)1/2 cup Tomato pulp1 tsp Ginger paste1 tsp Garlic paste1/4 tsp Turmeric powder1 tsp Red chilly powder1 tsp Cumin powder (Jeerakam)1 tsp Coriander powder1 tsp Garam masala powder3 tbsp OilSalt (As reqd)Coriander leaves for garnishing1/4 cup Grated coconut Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, chilly powder and lime juice for 1/2 hr.Heat oil in a pan.Fry onion till goden brown.Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.Add tomatoes and saute for 3 mins.Add pulp and all the powders and salt.Cook till oil separates.Add 1 cup of water.Add fish and cook till fish is done.:- Don`t overcook the fish.Take in a bowl.Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves.:- Serve with rice.:- If needed, little tamarind pulp and coconut milk can be added.
