- Snake gourd(Padavalanga) - 250 g
- Coconut(grated) - 1/2 of 1
- Garlic cloves - 4 nos
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Green chillies - 3 nos
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves(Few) -
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Coconut oil - 3 tbsp
- Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 2 nos
- Plain rice(Pachari/Puzhukkalari) - 2 tsp

Instructions
- For preparing the traditional styled dish, first remove the seeds and other stuff from inside the snake gourd.
- Clean it well and chop it finely.
- Place together the grated coconut, green chillies, garlic, turmeric powder, curry leaves and cumin seeds in a mixer bowl and run it once to make it into a coarse form.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds and saute red chillies, rice and curry leaves.
- Mix well the whole thing.
- Cover and cook for about 5 mins.
- Remove the lid and continue cooking on a low flame till done.
- Serve the dish with Rice.
