Malabar Coconut Chutney A side dish for Dosas and Idlis - Malabar Coconut Chutney 1 no Fresh coconut (grated)1 cup Bengal gram (Kadalaparippu)2 nos Green chillies1” piece Ginger1 cup CurdSalt (As reqd)1 tsp Mustard Seeds2 nos Dry red chilly (Kollamulaku)1 tbsp Oil Soak the Bengal gram in water for 1 hour and roast them in a pan without using oil.Grind togther the Bengal gram, the grated coconut, green chillies, ginger and curd.Add water, if reqd.Add salt to it and mix well.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, whole red chillies and pour it onto the chutney.
