  • First prepare a stiff dough using maida, 1 tbsp oil and required salt. Keep the dough aside.
  • For preparing filling, heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds, onion, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves,coriander powder, garam masala, peas and required salt. Cook for few minutes.
  • Divide the dough into equal sized small balls.
  • Roll out each ball into a round of 3 inches.
  • Place 2 tsp of filling on one half of the round.
  • Wet the sides with fingers and fold over. Press to seal.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry mattar karanjis in marati style, till golden brown in color.
