Mini Fried Idli Small fried idlis For making idlis:300 gm Rice150 gm Black gram (Uzhunnuparippu)Salt (As reqd)Oil to grease Idli moulds 1½ glass Water for boiling in cookerFor making fried idlis:1 Thin Vermicelli(small packet) (Semiya)2 tsp All purpose flour (Maida)Red colour (A pinch/drop)Salt (As reqd)Oil for deep frying Follow the method of making the batter and the idlis from the recipe of plain idlis.Make a liquid paste of maida and add red color to it. Crush semiya/vermicelli and keep it aside. Dip the small idlis in the maida batter.Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Roll/cover the idlis in the vermicelli and fry them for 2 minutes. :- Serve hot with tea/coffee. :- Makes 250-300 Mini Idlis (of size of Re. 1 coin) Tamil
