- Cucumber(Vellirikka) - 250 g
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Coconut(grated) - 2 cups
- Green chillies - 6 nos
- Jaggery(Sharkara) - 1 small
- Buttermilk(slightly soured) - 1 cup
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds(Uluva) - 1/2 tbsp
- Red chilly - 1 no
- Coconut oil - 2 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing morukootan - brahmin special, wash cucumber after cutting into small pieces and boil it with sufficient quantity of water and add turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside.
- Grind the grated coconut with green chillies with sufficient quantity of water.
- Add soured buttermilk.
- Cook for sometime. This mixture will get foam after sometime. Do not boil this. When the foam comes stop cooking.
- Fry mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and red chilly and add this to the cooked mixture.
- Add curry leaves.
- Morukootan - brahmin special recipe, is ready.
