Pichi Potta Kozhi is an extremely simple and tasty dish from the state of Tamilnadu. The dish is quite popular in hotels and restaurants and they use a big tawa for roasting the dish. We can prepare Pichi Potta Kozhi with both country chicken and poultry chicken. Pichi Potta Kozhi is unique and special with the peppery flavored aroma of the dish. Pepper, onion and curry leaves are used generously that lends to the flavorful dish. You can also use any left over fried chicken for the dish. Adding boiled chicken is ideal for the dish. Shredded Chicken Fry serves as a side dish to any main course or they can also be served as a filling for wraps and relished as snacks. This is a really simple recipe very different from usual South Indian Chicken recipes. Shredded Chicken Fry is quite popular and famous at a street side food shop at Salem. The success of the dish lies in the size of the chicken bits, the well roasted chicken and the freshly powdered pepper.

One vital point you have to remember while preparing Pichi Potta Kozhi, is to shred the boiled chicken into small uniform bits so the chicken bits get coated well in the masalas. As this is a dry dish remember not to add too much of chicken broth. Shredded Chicken Fry has become the star of my home ever since I have introduced the dish to my family. Whenever I prepare the dish, it is never enough for my family. Chicken is rich in protein and other vital nutrients required for body.
