Pineapple Lime


Pineapple Lime is light, refreshing and cool drink prepared with fresh pineapple and lemon juice, rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C. If you are in search for a summer drink that will quench your thirst, then this is your drink without fail. My kids love the vibrant yellowish hue and I am so glad they are consuming something great. The freshly squeezed lemon juice and fresh pineapple pieces is what makes the drink so special. The slightly tangy flavor combined with the sweetness of ripe pineapple bits, makes the drink so homely and in a way far too exotic. Pineapples grow plenty in our homeland and they are economical too. Go for fresh ones that taste better and not frozen fruits. A minimum of five servings of fruits and vegetables is needed for a healthy body. Experts advice to eat more vegetables than fruits for proper weight management.

Pineapple fruits is considered a medium fruit on the glycemic index and hence people with diabetics should consume this drink in low amounts. Fresh pineapples are a rich source of an enzyme named ‘bromelain’ that play a good role in your body. Bromelain is considered to possess anti-inflammatory properties. What is so great with Pineapple Lime is its simplicity. You just need a few minutes to assemble it. I love making this drink, perhaps the simplest of drinks and that too with an awesome flavor. For fully ripe sweetened pineapple chunks, you can definitely cut down on sugar. Pineapple coolers go great with grilled chicken recipes. As far as my kids are considered, this is their favorite food whenever they get a chance for outing. Though i put on a don’t bother face, this is my favorite option too. Pineapple Lime

  • 1/2 cup Pineapple chunks
  • 2 tsp Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 500 ml Water
  • Ice cubes as required


  • Take a blender and add sugar and lime juice.
  • Add pineapple chunks into the blender.
  • Pour water and blend it well. Then pour it through a sieve and add ice cubes and serve.
