Plantain Flower Dosa
Plantain flower
dosa is a traditional recipe. It is healthy and tasty. A easy to make dish.

Ingredients

Boiled rice
2
tsp
Whole
black gram
/urad dal
1/2
tsp
Fenugreek
2
tsp
Fennel seeds
1
Red chilli
Plantain flower
a fistfull
Turmeric powder
a pinch
Salt
as needed
For seasoning
1
tsp
Oil
/
Ghee
Mustard
Instructions
Wash the rice,
black gram
and fenugreek, and soak it for 4 hours.
Remove stamens (in Tamil it is called as kallan and kullan) from the
plantain flower
.
Grind the rice,
plantain flower
, fennel and red chilli.
After grinding add
salt
and
turmeric powder
to the batter and allow it to ferment for 3 hours.
In a kadai heat
oil
and add the ingredients for seasoning (as listed above), and add it to batter.
Then make as dosas, cook well on both sides by adding
oil
/
ghee
.
Healthy and delicious
plantain flower
dosas ready.
Serve it hot with
coconut
chutney.
