1 1/2 cup Boiled rice2 tsp Whole black gram/urad dal1/2 tsp Fenugreek2 tsp Fennel seeds1 Red chilliPlantain flower (a fistfull)Turmeric powder (a pinch)Salt (as needed)For seasoning1 tsp Oil/GheeMustard Wash the rice, black gram and fenugreek, and soak it for 4 hours.Remove stamens (in Tamil it is called as kallan and kullan) from the plantain flower.Grind the rice, plantain flower, fennel and red chilli.After grinding add salt and turmeric powder to the batter and allow it to ferment for 3 hours.In a kadai heat oil and add the ingredients for seasoning (as listed above), and add it to batter.Then make as dosas, cook well on both sides by adding oil/ghee.Healthy and delicious plantain flower dosas ready.Serve it hot with coconut chutney.
