Ingredients
- Prawns(Chemmeen) - 2 lb
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 2 pinch
- Kukum star(Kodampuli) - 2 -
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Ginger(A small piece) -
- Green chillies - 1 -
- Curry leaves - 5 -
- Garlic pods - 3 -
For masala:
- Coconut(grated) - 1/2 of
- Onion(big) - 1 no
- Garlic pods - 5 -
- Chillies - 1 -
- Ginger(A small piece) -
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
- Chilly powder - 1/2 tbsp

Instructions
- Clean the prawns and smear them with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Add them along with the prawns in a vessel.
- Chop all the ingredients for masala except coconut.
- Fry them till they become golden brown.
- Add coriander powder and chilly powder and stir for a minute.
- Add coconut and fry till it becomes brown.
- Add prawns and fry for 5 or 10 minutes.
- :- Serve with rice.
- :- The amount of ingredients can be varied as per your taste.
- :- Reduce the amount of chilly powder if u want a mild taste. But it tastes better when its spicy.
- :- You can also try adding garam masala.

You have mentioned Kodumpuli as an ingredient but in the preparation method,you have not specified . when to add it .
Guys,
smash chilly,garlic ,ginger and add everything (this should include kodampulli too) together.
This receipe was real good and I liked the prawn peerapatichathu.
i`m sorry 4thepeople.i gave the ingredients for frying and cooking separately.thats y i just wrote add everything.u have to add kodumpuly while cooking prawns
