  • 1/2 cup Basmati rice soaked , washed for 30 minutes and drained
  • 1 no Green chilly chopped
  • 1/4 cup Green peas
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing pulav in microwave, take an oven safe bowl and stir in rice, green peas and water. Microwave for 10 minutes on high mode. Stir once in between. Remove the bowl from the oven and keep aside.
  • Mix together oil, cumin seeds and green chilly in a separate microwave bowl and cook for 30 seconds on 165 degree.
  • Now add the cooked rice and salt. Mix well and cook for 30 more seconds on 165 degree.
  • Pulav in microwave, a healthy as well as nutritious meal, is ready. Serve hot with raita or any curry.
