- All purpose flour : 2 cups -
- Sugar : ½ cup -
- Butter : 5 tsp -
- Egg : 2 nos. -
- Baking powder : 2 tsp -
- Salt : a pinch -
- Vanilla essence : 1 drop -
- Milk : 1( If the dough is too dry ) - 2 tsp

Instructions
- Sieve the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Add the salt followed by the butter.
- Using your hands, rub the butter into the flour until crumbs form. Add the sugar to this and mix well.
- Divide the dough into two to make rolling out easier, roll out to quarter inch thickness and start cutting your doughnuts.
- If you want them crispy, roll the dough out thinner than quarter inch and cut out the doughnuts.
- Keep doing this until all the doughnuts have been formed.
- Deep fry them.
- When it comes to boil and becomes thick enough, turn off the flame, and pour over the doughnuts using a spoon, or you can dip them in the liquid.
- Keep to cool and transfer to containers.
