  • For preparing red gram /vanpayar and dried chemeen thoran, first heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add onion, ginger, garlic and sautT till light brown in color.
  • Add curry leaves and dry chillies.
  • Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder, garam masala and saute till the raw smell goes off.
  • Add the boiled vanpayar and sautT well.
  • At this point, add dried chemeen and 4 tbsp water.
  • Cover it with a lid and cook for some time.
  • Red gram /Vanpayar and dried chemeen thoran, a tasty side dish recipe is ready.
